Savour the Flavours of the World at California Boulevard

California Boulevard is a stylish casual dining restaurant with a Beverly Hills’ tramp bar for 110 covers. It is a multi-cuisine restaurant with a Hollywood theme ambience where 30 countries food is available.

The guests are interestingly welcome at California Boulevard with a Hollywood Walk of Fame adorned on the floor. Names of Hollywood star Charlie Chaplin, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Marilyn Monroe, and Mickey Mouse are seen when I walked down. Artistic ambience with English street lamps and music is soothing. Only Black and white Oscar-winning Hollywood movies are telecast.

California Boulevard has an extensive menu of food and beverages from American, Asian, European, and seafood of 300 dishes. Delicious foods are offered generously with great hospitality to know the taste of the world cuisines at California Boulevard. Bread basket served with garlic sauce, Dilli Ki Chaat (deep fried Spinach leaves garnished with yogurt, mint sauce, and tamarind sauce), Chicken Adana Kabab- (Arabian chicken dish) served with mini pita breast, house salad, and labneh dip, Ganderi Kabab- (Punjabi chicken dish)served with three sauce to dip (yogurt tamarind, and mint).

Char Grilled Chicken served with mint sauce, garlic jam, onion jam and chili jam, Mezze Platter (Arabic vegetarian dish)served with bread, hummus baba ghanoush, Salmon in and out Sushi roll- Japanese dish with vinegar rice, served with pickle, ginger, wasabi and soya sauce, Hawaiian Chicken Salad- chicken slices prepared with mayonnaise sauce, garnished with silver almonds served in real pineapple bowl on top of fresh lettuce bed, Wok-fried Lobster Tai Chi- a deep fried junk of lobster tossed with rice wine , Szechwan pepper, and light soya sauce and Grilled Jumbo prawns served with assorted vegetables and fries were provided.

As delicious dishes are incomplete without good drinks, varieties of cocktails and mocktails of uncommon names and distinct taste were brought to us on our table to go along with those great foods. Knuckle Head (signature drink of California Boulevard) cocktail made of Jack Daniel whiskey, ginger ale, and cherry syrup, Dead Bastard- made of bourbon gin, rum, brandy, lime juice, angostura and ginger beer, Bubble Champanska- combination of sparkling wine, vodka, and lime juice, and Harley- Malibu and Jagermeister, Jack Daniel, and lemon juice, and Sun Goddess- classic cocktail with Vodka, Vermouth, lime juice, simple syrup, grape juice and garnished with California grape.

Thai refresher- mocktail made with fresh watermelon, lemongrass, kaffir lime, topped with soda and Spicy Guava- prepared with Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, red masala and glass rim on the mocktail glass mouth with red masala are served.

I skipped the main course and go for amazing desserts since I was too full with the fancy rich appetizers though they insisted cheerfully to have. To complete the perfect meal two desserts are served in a wonderful way. They are Chocolate Bomb- brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and nuts, covered with a chocolate shell and served by gently pouring the hot Caramel sauce on top of the frozen chocolate shell to melt graciously and TCB Gazak Kulfi- a delightful fiesta flavour kulfi topped with chocolate cap served in captivating flame.

“I find out the customer likes, and suggest the food according to their choice. Knowing customer feedback that they are happy with the quality of food and service makes me happy,” said Manoj Singh, Chef, California Boulevard, who has been in the industry for the past 14 years.

As we interact further Chef Manoj picked out the must have food of California Boulevard for Non-vegetarian and for the vegetarian. Among the Chicken starter Peri Peri Chicken, Chicken Adana Kebab, and Thai Work Fried Chicken are listed. In Seafood items Beer Batter Fish, Tandoori Bacon Prawns, & Tandoori Salmon Tikka is suggested.

For Main Course, Lobster Thermidor, Grilled Jumbo Prawns, Herbs Crusted Salmon Steak are listed from seafood. For meat lovers- Meat Loaf Lover and New Zealand lamb Chop are recommended and Pollo Alla Parmigiana, Poulet Cordon Bleu, and Spiced Roasted Chicken Enchilada are suggested.

For vegetarian, rich Cottage Cheese Mile Feuille, Stir Fried Garden Greens are highly recommended for starters and for main course, Bruschettas, Tangy Button Mushrooms, and Sushi Paneer are mentioned.

For a perfect meal amazing desert such as Mango Cheese Cake and Classic Tiramisu are recommended by Chef Manoj apart from the desserts which I have tasted.

“Easy Riders cocktails and Green Apple & Clove Lemonade, thick shades mocktails are a must-have beverage. We also have Tea, Coffee, Cold Coffee, Ice Tea, and Fizzy Drinks,” says Kanchan Hiranandani, Marketing & Corporate Communications Head, California Boulevard.

Kanchan further adds, California Boulevard is a world cuisine restaurant. It is a must visit place as it caters to everybody food buzz. I am sure new guest will definitely find something interesting out of 300 delicacies on the menu (says confidently with a smile). The restaurant have outlet at Sector 29, Gurgaon and BK Dutt Market, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. It opens from 12 Noon to 3:30 PM, 6:30PM-12 Midnight.

Like many guests at California Boulevard, I left the place with great satisfaction. Warm hospitality, quick service, great food & beverages make me think “who doesn’t want to go at such kind of restaurant?
